Sometimes you need to find out what has changed between the theme updates. This is especially useful if you did custom modifications to the theme’s files. The changelog provides you with a of modified files list, but it is not very convenient to compare files line by line with the naked eye.
There are free tools which can assist you greatly. Such a tool is winmerge. Just install it, and select the two files you want to compare: After you click ‘Ok’ the program will compare the files line by line and will show you the difference in a very convenient way:
Now you can easily see we have added only two lines to the file.
